August Calayag is an animator, story artist and background painter. He first worked on multiple projects at Sisler CREATE, namely Grim Companion, which was an animated short film helmed by Sisler and Nickelodeon Community Efforts as part of the Orange Tree Project. The film has been screened at multiple film festivals.

 

After this project, he went on to do a paid internship at Nelvana from October 2022 to January 2023.

 

From February 2023 to 2024, he took the Classical Animation course at Vancouver Film School.

August is studying graphic design at Red River College Polytech.
